Pretty awesome/random cover(s) of the day.

So I am a sucker for Weezer and Radiohead....and random cover songs of course. Here is Weezer covering Radiohead's Paranoid Android. You may not be that into it but there is something about Weezer doing cover songs that I love.

Also, here is another Radiohead cover that is worth checking out...
Jeff Tweedy covering Fake Plastic Trees, solo in Champaign, IL.

Random Favorite Thing of The Day

These are my new favorite chips. Seriously, go out and grab a bag. If you like BBQ pork steak or just a good smokey BBQ flavor. Try these. You will not be disappointed.

Random music vid(s) of the day.

Last night I went to see Manchester Orchestra at The Pageant. I have seen them a few times but only as an opening band. So they would never play all of the songs I wanted to hear. Also last year, they canceled a show due to a member of Thrice having a family emergency. Andy Hull actually apologized during the show. They did not disappoint and put on an amazing show. Here is the setlist.
  1. Pride
  2.

Here is Where Have You Been? with Jesse Lacey from Brand New and Kevin Devine. Its not the best quality but I love this video and this song. Wish I could of been there to see live. I would of probably fainted like a little Justin Bieber Tween.

Random laptop post of the day.

So when I finally decided to start a blog of course the laptop I was using would crash...are the laptop and blogging Gods trying to tell me something? All I know is that I am one more problem away from going "Office Space" on this price.
That's right crappy Dell, your days are numbered!! I extremely close to saying screw it and take out my first credit card and get MacBook.
You will be mine....Oh Yes, you will be mine.

Chewbacca "Chewy" The Monster

When Pat Jackson and I moved from downtown STL apartment into our own house one of the first things that I had been wanting to get is a puppy. But when I said puppy, I meant something very tiny and cute. In order to get a puppy, I had to play by Pats rules. "If we get a dog, it has to be a black lab like, Rocky." Rocky was Pat's childhood dog that pretty much grew up with him. He had a white spot on his chest and when we went to pick out a puppy, Chewy was the only one that had a white spot on his chest. Pat fell in love with him at first site. We got him when he was 5 weeks old. My mother brought him for me as an early Christmas present. That was September. Almost 9 months and 80 pounds later,  we have a huge lovable monster. Well, he was not so lovable today...when I took him out this morning there was another little dog in our yard. Chewy went insane. He wanted to play with this little dog, and he wouldn't listen to me or let me lead him back into the house. Long story-short, Chewy end up dragging me across the yard, TWICE! The first time I fell onto this concrete slab that is about 6 by 8ft that is kind of in the middle of our yard. Cut up my left palm, and my have gashes on my right wrist and elbow. Of course I ended up letting go the leash and he ran into the woods with the little dog. When I finally got a hold of him, he wouldn't go anywhere I wanted him to go and somewhere in the mess of going back the house I was drug into some mud. This morning has been a bad adventure from the start. (We are also having problems with water in our basement)
I took this today. I think he knows I am not happy with him today.

But how could I stay mad at this face?

I miss when he was this size.

I am also pretty sure that he still thinks he is this size.

Banksy Street Art of The Day

I am a huge fan of Banksy. He is a street artist from London. He recently directed a documentary called Exit Through the Gift Shop, which was nominated for an Oscar this year. If you haven't seen it already, you should check it out. It is more than worth the watch.

This street art was done over the week-end, in Fitzrovia, in Cental London.
